Clarehill Leads The Way At N.I Quality Awards

Clarehill Plastics was once again recognised as a leader in its field when the company picked up a ‘Prizewinner’ trophy at the prestigious Northern Ireland Quality Awards on Thursday evening (27th January), in the Ramada Hotel, Belfast.The company, which celebrates its 30th year in business in 2011, saw a 10% improvement on the previous year's assessment scores.

Having taken the position as market leader in the manufacture of fuel storage products under the Harlequin brand, Clarehill has endeavoured to maintain its commitment to quality and innovation within the marketplace. A rare success story in the current economic climate, the company has gone from strength to strength in recent years.

The Northern Ireland Quality Awards scheme is organised and managed by the Centre for Competitiveness and sponsored by Department of Finance and Personnel, ESB, Northgate Information Solutions, Hewlett Packard and Forward Emphasis.The gala ceremony itself is organised in association with Invest Northern Ireland.

The different levels of recognition are based on the world class European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model that offers organisations the benefits of a structured approach to international competiveness. Clarehill Plastics was awarded for its outstanding progress on the path of business excellence.

There to collect the award on the night were: Michael Kinder (Finance Manager), Laurance Coey (Works Director), Jonathan Campbell (Design Manager), Nicola Coey (IT Director), Fergal Gribben (Research Manager), Jerome Kerr (Production Manager), Sean O’Neill (Quality Manager) and Paul Kidd (Business Manager).
