FPS EXPO: Harlequin Is Tops For Tanks

Bunded storage tank specialist Harlequin, has confirmed that it is now fitting Atkinson Equipment Limited's 'Tanktop' Top Outlet System as standard to the company's range of ENV Bunded Heating Oil Tanks sold throughout the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

"The Atkinson Tanktop is an integrated top outlet system, which uniquely and successfully combines floating suction line, non-return valve, fully serviceable filter, anti-siphon valve, easy prime button and a choice of either a push-fit oil line connection or a traditional compression connection," explains Harlequin's Marketing & Customer Service Manager, John Switzer.

"When fitted to an oil tank, the result is a product which is easier and quicker to install and maintain, as well as being environmentally superior to old-fashioned bottom outlet systems. In the event of an oil line becoming disconnected from a bottom outlet system, the result will almost certainly be an environmental pollution incident. By contrast with the Tanktop, should the oil line become disconnected or severed, the flow of fuel from the tank will be automatically discontinued and an environmental pollution incident will be averted.

"We've already fitted the Tanktop to several thousand Harlequin ENV Bunded Heating Oil Tanks in Northern Ireland during the past 12 months and the response from installers and technicians has been excellent. We have, therefore, decided to standardize our ENV Bunded Heating Oil Tank offering around the Tanktop in the rest of the UK and in the Republic of Ireland too."

The new specification Top Outlet Bunded Tanks have already entered production at Harlequin's Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Moira, Co.
