Demand for AdBlue Continues to Rise
07 February 2013

With the new generation of agricultural machinery utilising AdBlue™ to reduce their CO₂ emissions, farmers and agricultural contractors’ need for AdBlue is rising. Manufacturers such as Fendt, Ford New Holland, Case, Valmet, McCormick and Massey Ferguson now using AdBlue in their tractors and machines, which is why AdBlue tank manufacturers and equipment resellers are experiencing a steady growth in enquiries from the agricultural market.

AdBlue is a non-toxic urea solution used for chemically reducing nitrogen oxide (NOx) levels in diesel engine exhaust gases.

With effect from 1 January 2005, all new vehicles sold in Europe must comply with the Euro 4 standard, which significantly limits polluting emissions.

And it's not just the agricultural market which is witnessing a rise in demand for AdBlue. With a rise in Q1 of registrations for new commercial vehicles, particularly buses and coaches, demand for AdBlue and associated dispensing and storage products has risen across several industries and looks set to continue.

AdBlue enables latest-generation heavy vehicles to meet the envisaged limits, without compromising the performance or efficiency of their engines in any way.

Harlequin has been manufacturing market leading bunded AdBlue storage tanks and bunded AdBlue dispensing tanks for several years and is widely recognised as a leading European manufacturer of AdBlue products.
